Ibn Battuta was a traveler from Morocco who lived from 1304 to 1369. He set out on a journey that lasted nearly 30 years. His travels covered about 120,000 kilometers.

He visited regions across North and East Africa, the Middle East, India, and parts of Asia. Cities such as Cairo, Delhi, and Beijing were part of his journey. His experiences were recorded in a book called the Rihla, which describes places, people, and customs.
